1. There will be English and Japanese sections

Each team will consist of 4-8 members, day one will be an international commercial arbitration problem (the mock arbitration will use the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts), day two will be a negotiation using the United Nations Commission of International Trade Law. The score will consist of scores from day one and two (for those universities with multiple teams the average of the teams will be used.)
This round will consist of a mock arbitration between the Red company from Negoland and the Blue Company from Arbitria who are engaged in the sale of an influenza drug, a contract has been completed however unforeseeable circumstances arise and damages are sought. Judging will be carried by an arbitrator
The same two companies have established a joint venture (Yellow Company) in Negoland which is now in liquidation; the negotiation concerns the resolving of all debts between the two companies.
